MoneyGram Oracle R12 Adoption
Oracle R12 Adoption
Executive Summary
MoneyGram International, a leader in transaction services, was implementing highly customized Oracle R12 EBS modules across a variety of departments. Dashe & Thomson designed a role-based training plan to meet the needs of 34 distinct roles across six functional areas.
Challenges
The implementation of the accounts receivable module, specifically, represented a critical challenge because of MoneyGram’s reliance on this processing engine for its core business. The project team was working to document a system while the system was being developed. As changes happened, it also required making updates to the training content: a tweak in the system would change the training environment.
Our Solution
The training plan included instructor-led training, eLearning, and an electronic performance support system. Dashe also developed and implemented a change management plan and post go-live communications plan. Material for training and communication included exhaustive documentation with all the step-by-step content, exercises, and data for the trainers to use. This culminated in Dashe’s creation of an internal portal where all of this material would live for easy access.
How It Helped
Over 2000 employees adopted Oracle R12. MoneyGram stabilized operations within six months, which is faster than the average Oracle R12 implementation. The company was established on the same platform globally and able to run a more effective operation.
