McGraw-Hill Companies
Oracle EBS Change Management and Training
Executive Summary
McGraw-Hill Companies, a financial information and education company, was replacing Lawson Financials with Oracle E-Business Suite R12, as well as redesigning the corporation’s chart of accounts (COA) to address known deficiencies and leverage leading practices. They needed to ensure employees would adopt this major business transformation.
Challenges
By the time Dashe joined the change management project, a previous vendor had already been let go because McGraw-Hill felt they weren’t handling it properly, which meant the Dashe team had to acclimate themselves to a project already in progress. As the work began, it became clear that there was some disconnect between management and project heads about expectations.
Our Solution
Dashe & Thomson developed and executed a change management plan that included user acceptance and training activities. Dashe implemented topic-specific road shows, town hall meetings, and a newsletter. In addition, Dashe designed, built, and executed the training plan that included instructor-led training, eLearning modules, and an electronic performance support system (EPSS).
How It Helped
Over 1500 employees successfully adopted Oracle R12, helping McGraw-Hill expand their Oracle system throughout their entire financial division.
